Start off with a low balance no fee credit card from a gas station. Gas cards are pretty easy to get even without prior credit. After about a year you will have more credit card offers than you know what to do with.
This is where young people get into trouble. They get the offers and accept everyone and then run up the cards to the limit. Don't do this. Just take one or two cards with a decent limit ($1,000) and only use them when you are traveling. Pay off the balance within 3 months. If you can't pay it back in 3 months, you don't need it. Also don't put anything new on the card until it is completely paid off ever.
This is how people really get in over their heads, by charging up their cards and then getting another one "for emergencies". You end up in emergencies every month.
After about 3 years of well disciplined credit like this as long as your income is high enough you will get the loans you really need for a car or home. |

First of all if you ask to get "credits" you will have raised a red flag. Its "Credit". That said if you havn't had a card before apply to Capital One. They will give most anybody a card with about a 300 dollar limit. You have to start small. Once you have about 6 months or so under your belt.... use it to buy groceries or whatever, just make sure you pay and the cards will roll in. But remember..... mess it up and you will have a problem. |

Then after 6 months u can apply for regular credit card.
This is the easiest way to develope your credit line. |

try going to your local bank and asking what to do, or go to http://www.creditcards.com and click on the link closest to establishing credit. but your best bet is to go to your local bank and they may be able to help you. |

Try this, take $500 cash to a credit union, open a checking account, go back a week later and ask for a $500 loan. Take the 500 to a 2nd credit union and repeat the process. Go back a week later and borrow 500 from them. take the 500 to a 3rd credit union, open a checking accout, and use this account to pay off the other two. Meanwhile pay on the 3rd account on a monthly basis. When a loan officer sees you have paid on three separate loans you won't have any trouble getting a loan |
