There are a few things banks look at for loans: 1) Credit Score/Credit Report - tells the bank about your pattern of behavior. 2) Income & Debt payments - tell the bank about your ability to repay the loan, 3) Collateral - tells the bank if you don't pay, how much they may be able to recover.
I recommend:
1) If you have great credit history, you can try getting a car loan. You would have to put some cash into the car, but they may be willing to loan you the money since you have a good credit history, and will graduate and get a good job in a year or two.
2) You can also try getting a loan from person-to-person lending platforms in the links below. Just another alternative that may be able to help you if you are looking for a couple of thousand dollars. |

Auto finance is what I do for a living and one thing all lenders require is the ability to repay a loan.
Student loans are not considered real income since they are loans and not money earned.
Now don't get me wrong, if your credit is strong there are dealers out there that will get you approved and sell you a car. But they will have to lie about your income and you will have to sign a credit application stating that they are telling the truth.
This is called bank fraud. If you get caught or something happens to the car and the lender investigates and finds out what you did you could be prosecuted.
Get one of your parents to co-sign for you and avoid this. |

I dont have the best of credit, well in fact its kinda bad, but I was able to get car loan since I do have a job which is mainly what this place cared most about for me. They are one of these places that have multiple sources and they say like 99 percent approved. So I would give this site a try....

To be honest, no. Think of it from the bank's perspective. You seem to be a high risk borrower since you have no clear cut way of paying the loan back. And no doubt the first payment on the loan will be due in just a month or two of getting the money. Where will that money even come from for the first payment, let alone every other one? |

I would strongly advise against taking out a car loan and using the money you receive from the insurance to purchase a used dependable car. You are essentially using borrowed money (student loans) to pay off another debt (the car you want to purchase). Focus on your education, and then worry about getting a nicer car. I am a certified financial counselor through the Lampo Group and I know what I'm telling you is sound advice. Trust me, you will thank me later when your student loans come due. |
