I am in debt about 2,500 or a little less and currently unemployed for the time being. What should I do?
There are 3 credit cards I am going to fall behind on two of them this month and the other one of I already am behind on.. Also, my bank account is overdrawn about 981.00. I know that this isn't very much money, but right now it is. I will not get anything paid off quick with only paying a little here and there which is all I can afford to do right now. I need help!!!

get like two jobs and start saving and if u don't pay your bank back, they will close your account and put u on check systems.. call up your credit cards and see if they will put u on a payment plan..

Phone the companies NOW don't ignore it. Explain your temporary situation and they will make a deal with you for very little payments until you are sorted with work again. Don't wory about it. The amounts you owe are very small compared to most people and they would rather know you have a problem than making it worse by just not paying. I am in exactly the same situation at present!
Go do it now, you will feel so much better when you have tackled it.

You need to contact your bank and creditors immediately - before your accounts fall behind. Let them know your situation and they will try to work something out with you.

Use some common sense. If you are in a hole - STOP DIGGING. Contact the people you owe money to make arrangements for smaller payments. Check this site:

get a part time job or work at home job.

Your biggest immediate problem will be your bank account. If you stay overdrawn your account will be closed pretty soon, it if has not already. You will then be turned over to outside collection agencies who will contact you for payment. You will also be turned into ChexSystems which will make it very difficult to open up a new bank account for several years. So you need to find a way to get this one paid off as quickly as possible. Also, contact them and explain your situation. If you call them first they may be able to work with you.

After that you can contact your credit card companies and see if they will work with you. If they will not then they will also charge off the account. As with the checking account you should contact them first. See if they will take reduced payments for a few months until you get back on track.

The worst thing you can do is to not contact them and just ignore the calls.

Good Luck.

You have to find a job ASAP and start paying your outstanding bills. And call the credit card companies and explain the situation.
