First of all, credit cards suck. If you are in a jam with them, get a second job and allocate all of the money from your second job to pay them off. When they are paid off, quit the job. Nothing says you only have to work forty hours a week. |

physically they can do nothing... financially, lawfully, and emotionally they can make your life even more miserable than it seems to be now. without much info its hard to suggest solutions... but increasing your cash inflow is a no-brainer. by not paying eventually your creditors will charge-off the account and more than likely collection companies will take over and use some harsh and disrespectful tactics to try and collect. in the meantime your credit and credit score will tank and that just adds to your problem as it will make things harder to come by in the credit score driven society we live in. your first line of action would be to call your creditors and kindly ask if they can lower your apr or offer you a low-apr promo. secondly you could seek out a credit card from a company you are not presently doing business with that offers a 0% balance transfer promo... preferrably one with no bt fee or at least a cap ($75 or less). any action to perserve your credit will come down to curbing your spending not only on credit cards but spending in general and sticking to your plan.. good luck....you can do it! |

Talk to them about making repayment plans and reducing the interest rate. Depending on how much you owe, they will probably work with you. A lot of times they end up eating the charges. I think they'd rather have some money than no money. |
