I have had my Target card for about 3 months, and my credit is supposedly good... but for some reason a few weeks ago some credit cards turned me down. What credit card company will actually give me a card? MasterCard, Visa... anything. I'm trying to improve my credit. I don't see why I was turned down in the first place, considering I've made more payments than I needed to and I've never spent over the limit on my Target card, and they recently upped my credit limit by $300... so they trust me. Who else will give me a chance? |

A very safe way to get a card is through credit unions. Its not too hard to become their members and if you are paying them regularly, in about six months it will build up good credit for you.

Banks are being very tight with credit due to the banking problem. If you can, just use your target and continue to pay it on time. When the credit situation gets better, then you can get a good deal with some bank. |

i got aproved for capital one credit card when i was 18 still in high school with zero credit but for awhile i would stick with the target card if they upped you limmit your credit may be maxxed for your score so even if you have good credit and the money they still wont let you till your limit isnt maxxed and applying and getting denied will just hurt your credit ( not much, but it will) Good luck |

and is excellent for helping you build your credit
also if you have a job or if you can get allowance from your parents or gaurdians include that in the application, and you will be approved.
