Pay the one with the highest APR first.
$1600 is not bad at all. You should be able to pay that off before the end of the year if you make it a priority.
Paying down your school loans will help your credit so don't go out looking for more credit cards.
As you pay them off, cut them up. Keep the one with the lowest APR and don't use it unless necessary. Not on frivolous stuff!!! |

First of all, your student loans can be deferred, plus you can get those into a lower interest rate, so dont worry..
As to your two cards...
You should contact the collection agencies and propose settlement, but ensure that they make the item a positive reference OR they remove it all together once paid..
They will probably tell you they cannot do it.. However, you gotta keep fighting... My experience has always been to write the CEO's of companies and they will always cave in..
Pay the one over the limit first.. the other one second..
Hope that helps.... If you can get them to straighten out your cards and make those positive references or remove them, you might be better able to get new ones.. |

Pay off the credit cards and don't worry about getting more. Your school loans being paid on time will do wonders for your credit, really. |

pay the newest one off first. Do not go to credit card counseling for such a small amount of money. If you can get your name as an authorized user on somebody elses card who has good credit. when they make payments, it will help your score too. Good luck. |

To find out specifically what you must do to raise your score, you can order your score report from all three national credit bureaus. In addition to your score<!--you'll get your credit report, an indication of how your score ranks nationally and an explanation of how you can boost your standing.

In order to improve your credit score, it's important to know where you stand currently. Despite all the media attention given to free credit reports-->you still have to pay to find out your credit score, the three-digit number ranging from 300 to 850 that is the key to your borrowing costs. |

How big was the shovel you used to dig this hole with anyway?
You have some serious problems. The collection agencies will likely sue you and put judgments on your credit report.
Who do you think will give you another credit card? You were kidding right?
You need about three jobs, that should help a little. |
