I been trying to get a car loan and they ran my credit too much?
i have about 50 inquires onmmy credit report and i heard u can get them removed,, how would i go about that, i also would like to raise my credit score i have about 4 cards how long would that take??????????
If they pulled all of the inquiries within 10 days from the FIRST inquiry to the last....then it only hit your score ONCE.
You cannot get them removed because when you applied for the loan, you gave them authorization from them to send your application to multiple lenders, which in turn, gave them permission to pull your credit report.
Only unauthorized inquires can be removed. Yours are legitimate.

I had the same problem. I applied over the internet and they sent them to multiple lenders. BY the time they were done I had 70 inquiries. My friend just started repairing credit and she removed all but 16 of the inquiries.
She called Equifax and had them disputed. They took them off because by law they have to have a copy of your signature in order to prove that it was you authorizing the credit check. If you applied online you can have them removed.
The ones that stayed on my report are the ones I actually signed authorizing them to pull my report.

Auto finance is what I do for a living and the first poster is correct except it's 14 days not 10.
As far as raising your score, you do not need any more credit cards you simply need to use the ones you have to your best interest by using them every month for things like gas and food making sure never to exceed 30% of your credit limit in any given month and pay them off in full every month before the due date.
I have doen this for the last 2 years with 2 credit cards and raised my score over 150-points.

If you have 4 cards, I suggest you get one more!
Find a card that has a low APR balance transfer option so you can lower your interest rates.
That will allow you to transfer a high interest card to a low rate making it easier to pay it off!
Just remember once you have a card with no balance don't start using it again!
If you have bad credit, you can get a card at this site ..
