It depends on the company, you'll have to call to ask.
Mine will open it as long as it was closed by the customer, not revoked by the company, and it has to be within 30 days of the date you asked to close. |

it'll depend upon the institution but, in theory, they should be but it may require more than a customer service agent to do so. |

NO they will not allow you to open it again....I recently actually did the same thing with a credit card i had for a long time....i called to see if they would match a 0% balance transfer offer and if not i would cancel my card (totally bluffing), and they said "ok we will go through with your request"...which meant they closed my acct...i was like "oh well that sucks" so i tried to call back 5 minutes later and they said that it was already closed and i could open a new acct with them but that old account was already done and could not be reopened.
Goood Luck! |

yes they will re-open the account. Since you have been with them for more than a year. |

No.. only open it if it offers a $ 50.00 gift card for a hundred dollar purchase .
Not good to pull from your credit score . |

Yes, just call them back. It won't affect you negatively. If you get cycled through, just hold out for customer service or you might even have a number that you can call for fraud and they can just send you to the proper place to talk to. |

I just read your other question and I had answered. Usually, once the account is closed, it's closed. You're more than welcome to try |

The good news is that it is better that you closed the account than they did due to lack of activity. It looks better on your credit record that you close inactive accounts. Oh and yes, hackers love accounts that haven't been used in years. They can put a change of address on your account, run it up and you would never be the wiser.
It will actually help your credit score. |
