Apply for another card that has lower APR, high credit limit and anuual fees. Don't cancel this credit card and use it once a month and they pay the full balance on time.

get a different credit cards with a lower rate

That is a ridiculous apr! If you've never been late, call them and demand a lower rate. If they refuse, tell them you are transferring your balance to another card and closing the card with them. Never just close out an account. You could make things look worse on your credit. Most card companies don't want to lose their customers. You have to firm, but not rude. If you are rude, they are less likely to want to work with you. I recently transferred a balance to a lower apr card and the credit card I originally had keeps trying to send me offers for lower rates and higher credit lines. Trust me, if you're a good customer, they don't want to lose you! Good Luck!

You should apply for a new card with a zero interest rate for some specific time period and transfer the balance. There will be a charge to make the transfer, but you will still save hunderds of dollars over time.

You shouldn't close that card because it is a part of your credit history and could damage your credit score.

call your credit card company and ask. tell them you've gotten an offer for (something less then you're willing to accept) and unless they can do better, you'll close your account and transfer your business, but you really don't want to because you've done business with them for so long. this will only work if you've never been late on your payments and are just getting stiffed because they're the credit card company and they can.

you need to cancel that card cause the apr is too high.I advise you to call that company to see if you can lower it or other wise try to apply for another card with a lower apr and do a balance transfer cause you will never finish paying that card anytime soon with that apr.I hope this helps.

You can call your creditor and ask them. If you have a good relationship and have made on time payments, your creditor should have no problem lowering it.
34% interest is very high and could take you decades to pay off. Another option you might have is to look into a debt management program. A debt management program (DMP) is where a not for profit company has agreements in place with creditors to reduce monthly payments and interest rates. It also allows you to consolidate your accounts into just one payment. This is a great option for many people and is one service that we can help with as well.
