Payday loan companies are horrible. They have all sorts of tricks to get you in deeper and deeper and deeper. You'll have to repay an extra £500 - £1000 on that £750. And that's if you're clever and get it repaid.
How soon do you need that loan? You might be able to get one through a credit union in your area. Many ask members to save for a few weeks before giving out a loan.
Please don't go to the payday or doorstop lenders. Through my work, I see people every day who've gotten themselves in increasingly worse desperation by that sort of 'quick fix'. Once you're in to them, it's incredibly hard to get out. |

I wouldn't borrow if I were you. Once you're in debt it becomes a kind of slavery to your lender. I was always taught to save up for something I wanted. You don't hear that said very often in this "I want it now" society we're living in. |

If at all possible, don't get caught up in applying for payday loans. The interest rate will ALWAYS be high. You'll never find a low rate and even though they advertise that it's secure, it's not always secure. I suggest you try to get a second job. |

Gather all your and your friends junk and head for the nearest car boot sale.
Earn a few pound just for the cost of a space.

Desperate says it all to me, if you are desperate then you are in financial difficulties already.
Think about getting out of debt by selling some old junk on Ebay or a even a decent website like Gumtree which is better cus it is free unlike super rich Ebay |

Your only options are:
a pawn broker or a cash til payday outlet....niether recommended
or a crisis loan from DWP which will never give you the amount you want and you have to be carefull when explaining why you need the loan |

If your really desperate Go for Greenwoods or Provident. They charge over 500% interest though, If you are able to pay back £20 a week they will give you £600. You could try getting your bank to give you £800 overdraft limit. Or apply to your local credit union. |

There are plenty of high-street shops who specialise in cashing cheques, sometimes called pay-cheques, even when there's no money in your account. There is a fee for this service, but you get cash fast and pay it back fast, so the interest is minimal.
Try this link and see if there's a company near you who'll cash one of your cheques. You will need some ID, driver license, passport and proof of address, utility bill etc.

This next site is the pub landlord's mag and details a pub which cashes cheques for a lower fee than most high street cheque cashing firms. This might catch on - sounds like a good idea, esp. when a person is strapped for cash and does not want to borrow a large sum.
