Debit cards take the place of cheque books so you need a bank account with some funds. |

go to the bank and get a debit card with a visa or mastercard "stamp" on it. you can use it as a credit card but it takes the money out of your account like a debit. no interest, nothing!!! thats what i have a visa "check card". they are great |

Get a debit card from a bank with which you have a checking or savings account. If you do not have one yet, it is worthwhile to open one, just for the debit card. |

Your bank can issue you a debit card. It will come out of your checking account. |

Open a bank account, deposit some cash into it and they will give you a debit card so you can transfer to money in your account to the vendor. |

you need to open a bank account to have a debit card. but u can't use a debit card online i tried before they only take credit cards. you can get a credit card from 3V and u pay them a certain lump sum e.g £300 and they put that on your card straight away. so u pay for it straight away and then you can use the card whenever you want till your money wastes out then you just top it up. it only cost you £3 to use once and there is no intrest. they do them in TSB ring them up and inquire about it!
hope that helps |

You need a bank account or building society account that you pay money into on a regular basis or one where your salary or other income is paid into on a regular basis. Then your Bank or Building Society will give you a debit card.
Should you use a debit card when your account is empty and you exceed your overdraft limit you will be charged excessive bank fees. |
