I don't have great credit, but would really like to get a credit card to start building some revolving credit.
Any suggestions? I would like to get the best possible card to start building some credit. But they have to accept almost anyone because of my bad credit.
I would agree with Ice, but the problem with Capital One is that they do not report your account correctly with the credit bureaus. A better option would be Orchard Bank. They offer cards for people trying to build and rebuild credit. They also offer secured credit cards like the 2nd poster mentioned if you're not approved for a regular card. Also I've provided links to other secured credit cards that should work for you

My wife got approved for a capital one visa card when she had a credit score in the high 500s.
Im not exactly sure how "bad" your credit is, but normally you need to be at least in high 500s before you will get approved for anything.

see if you can get a secured credit card for like $200.00. You will have to deposit, $200.00 than use you card every ince in awhile like maybe $20.00 one month, and pay it of the next billing cycle. make sure you do not go above a 50% balance. With in a few years you should be able to get a regular card. but make sure that you always make your payment. Avoid providnian(sp) and apire as these companies will try to screw you over by not sending a bill.

I recommend the Orchard bank card. It is for people who want to rebuild their credit.

try first premier and imagine, the credit limit is only like $300 but they'll raise it after you show responsibility on your payments and they dont require a deposit, well with imagine it was $4.95. I have both. Good luck.
