i work in a lawyers office and i do bankruptcies alllll day long. Unless you list each and every debt you have then they should go to a $0 balance on your credit report. And that bankruptcy will show on your credit report for 7 years like everyone else said. But if you happened to miss something and did not list it with your bankruptcy then your reliable for it. And if you did list it, and it still shows up then you need to send a copy of your petition to that creditor with proof that they were included with your bankruptcy or call your laywer and explain to them that some things are still showing a balance. |

It depends on what negative information is showing up. If the bankruptcy itself is showing up, then yes. That will be there for seven years. In truth it really never goes away. Creditors can always see it. If you are talking about debts that were supposed to be taken off because of the bankruptcy, then no, those should not be there unless they were listed in the court papers or you reaffirmed those debts. |

It's going to show up for many years. Don't be surprised if it still shows up in 2014. You may still get credit offers from different places, like buying a new car, because many companies feel that if you no longer owe, you have spendable cash. Just be careful what you get into, or you'll end up in the same boat again. |

yes but also it should appear you filed for a bankruptcy..this info carries for 10 years after the fact..been there done that ....if their is false or bad data in your report you need to contact the reporting agency and let them know |

The actual bankruptcy will show, and if a creditor was listed on your bankruptcy, then that creditor will show as a "write off" on your credit report.

yes.. but everything included in your bankruptcy should say "included in bankruptcy". That will appear for at least 7-10 yrs |
