I suggest you open a secured visa with 2 hundred dollars...then you will be able to use it for the things you need....and rebuild your credit....and 2 hundred dollars is not that much so you could pay it off monthly and this will show a instant good credit history....if you can afford more, then secure a higher amount use it for everything and pay it off monthly...and in 12-18 months they will send you your money back and you will have earned a unsecured visa...also take the time to get in touch with your creditors and explain why your in this mess, and work out payments with them...also if you owe the bank money, all you have to do is pay off the bank and they will let you open a new account...only use your debit card...dont use checks...and never use the credit button always use debit and the money comes out immeaditaly so you can't over draw....

forget repairing your credit for at least 7 years equafax and experian hold records of bad debts for 7 years or more so even if you paid everyone off this will still be held on record for 7 years or more. a pointless task . been there done it believe me yet watch dog say there is no such thing as records of bad debts . so that how balliffs cal to you home etc yeah right . |

If there are credit agencies trying to get in touch with you then contact them and strike up repayment deals. They don't need a promise of huge sums of money in order for you to start paying them back.
If you have never had credit before, get something like a catalogue and order small things and pay them back. This way you will be adding to your credit score. |

I got a pre-paid Mastercard from a place called The Money Shop.
You initially pay £9.99 for the card and it takes 5-7 working days to get to you. All you have to give them is 2 forms of ID and there's no credit check. You then have the option of paying £4.95 per month to use it as many times as you want or, if you'll only be an occasional user, you pay a £1.95 per transaction fee.
You can top up the card as many times as you want either at The Money Shop or the Post Office.
Capital One also do cards for people like us with a poor credit rating, but their interest rates are a killer! BUT..if you use the card sensibly and keep your repayments regular, they often increase your limit after 4-6 months.

Look for sellers on ebay that take alternate payment methods...most sellers accept money orders and personal checks. I've bought lots of items with a money order.
