No. If you really won, they wouldn't need that information, they could just sent you a check. Did you enter anything where you might have won a million dollars. Give your bank information out and you find your account empty.

It is a scam. Don't do it.

I remember one time I got a phone call telling me I won $25,000! I thought fast on my feet and said, "Great! Send it!" and hung up the phone. I figured they had my phone number they must have my address.

I'm still waiting for the check.

Been there before

Yeah sure --- give them your SSN and driver's licence while you're at it. It will make it that much easier for them to pretend to be you, so they can take all YOUR money out of your account.

C'mon! how can you win something you never bought tickets in?
even the people who do buy tickets never win, do they?

I bet they did not even know your NAME.

Never give personal or financial details to strangers.

No more than likely it is a scam. You should never give any type of personal bank information to anyone that sends you an email unless you are certain that you can trust that person, or organization, etc.

With identity theft at an all time high, people have been warned about such scams through the news and even online so stay away.
