Go to your bank!!!!
That means maybe, that someone has tried to use your credit card, if he didn't.
Go to your bank, and check your accounts, change your cards, and pin num.., and all your details.
Do everything possible, better this than nothing.

First scams are abundant did they ask you for information like we need to verify your account number then your name as it appears on card then pin number social security it is possible it was not your bank at all calling you it was someone trying to get info from you to steal your Identity CALL YOUR BANK as soon as it opens and ask them if they did call as there will be a record if they did not tell them what is going on as far as phone call and cancel your card and request a new one I can tell you more just write to me at bill67co@yahoo.com |

I would not use the credit card... contact your credit company yourself by calling them.
NEVER give out your information to someone that calls you, it could be a fraud/identity theft. |

Call all your bank and credit card companies and inform them there might be a problem. Apart from it being part of the terms and conditions that you inform them promptly, it means you have a chance of getting back the money form any transactions that weren't you.
If you are really worried about identity theft, you can pay to get a copy of your credit check report to see if someone has been applying for things in your name. You might even get the bank to do this for you. Otherwise do a search on google for credit check and credit report. |

Be very careful of any phone call claiming to be your bank or card provider do not give your bank or card details out over the phone. I nearly got caught in out over the phone for the same thing. |

I would be wooried also. Did'nt the company give you any reason why they thought this, what had actually happened to make them suspicous. Telephone your bank, they have a fraud department,and ask them for some advice. Don't hang about, time matters in this situation. Good luck |

It's quite possible someone has used your credit card details and withdrawn money from your account . This can occur when you allow your credit card out of sight whilst paying . This can happen when you've paid for a meal at your table and the waiter has taken your card for payment. Although they bring the card straight back, it could have been what's called 'skimmed'. Your credit card details is passed through a hand held device which takes the details and then at a later date can be transferred on to a blank card. Sometimes this can happen in shops. Never let your card out of your sight.If you pay at a shop counter, make sure you can see your card at all times and challenge the assistant if they put the card through another type of machine, one which you are unfamiliar with. Also when you eat out, tell the waiter you will pay at the desk not at the table, in that way you can keep an eye on your card. Don't worry your credit card company is looking after your best interests when they halt all credit card payments. They will re-open your credit card and refund all monies spent other than by you and things will be back to normal. You may have to borrow some money from a friend or relative until this has been resolved. Good luck1 |

I would ask them exactly why they are doing this. There is a very good chance that you may be a victim of identity theft. They do this to protect you. I would get as much info from them as possible and make sure if you are a victim it hasn't spread to other areas of your personal life (banks account, other credit cards etc...). You should request a copy of your credit report asap as well. |
