Offer repayments at a level you CAN afford. You could make it ridiculously low until you have settled and got a job. Don't make yourself bankrupt just yet if you don't need to. |

I have a friend that just got as much cash advances on his credit cards, and then just claimed bankruptcy. I would make sure you own NOTHING, as far as a car and house goes, when you claim bankruptcy.

if you haven't been making your current payments, why on earth would someone lend you more money? They'd just get stuck being the ones not getting paid back too.
No job= easier bankruptcy. It sucks, but that's what it's there for.
