If you really can't afford to pay that bill, just ignore the letters as that amount of money is not enough for collections to keep hounding you for it. Do not respond to the letters or acknowledge them. Just throw them away. Don't worry about it. You're fine....I hope this bill is from a long time ago because you really should have auto insurance.....good luck.... ;) |

Take the responsibility for your bill. Call the company and tell them that you are struggling even though you work 2 jobs. Ask them how they can work with you because you want to pay the bill. Not corresponding with them is what really ticks them off! If you don't at least try, you will ruin your credit for the next 7 years. You may need to cancel your online service for awhile and send the money to them. Look for any place that you can cut expenses and though it may just be a little bit of money, send it to the company for your bill. Let them know you really are trying! Now up and get going... |

Well one they will cancel your auto insurance if your still using them as a insurance provider.
They will eventully turn it over to a collection agency.
I would say try to make a payment arrangement with them and keep it.
It will go on your credit report as a negative item.
Could garnish wages to pay it, rarley done! |

It will be put on your credit file hurting your credit score. Best thing to do is try and pay it. Call them and try to make arrangements to pay it off in payments. |

Nothing too much, they will harass you or send it to a collection agency, it will probably wind up as a charge off. |

I know in some states it just goes on your credit record. and you will loose your auto insurance. But calling and letting them know the situation is always best, maybe they can work with you on payments? been there and gone through it. Sometimes honesty and contact are the best policies of life. |

If you can not pay it and the credit collection continues to send letters then they will get mad after a while and just put it on your credit score and your credit score will go down because its something bad and everything will go down from there... |

If this has already been turned over to a collection agency there is a good chance they have reported this item on your credit bureau which will pull your score down. You need to pull a copy of your credit bureau to see if it is reported. If it is call the collection agency and set up a payment plan and make a deal with them to remove the delinquent account from your credit once they receive your final payment. You need to get this in writing from them. If they remove the item from your credit bureau report it will not negatively effect your credit score. They can take you to court and obtain a judgement and garnish your wages. It is very unlikely they will do this with this amount owed. But, it is possible. Also, I am assuming you have obtained other car insurance. You definately need car insurance. |
