You can get bad credit car loan as either secured or unsecured. Secured bad credit car loan comes with the threefold benefit of low interest rate and increased repayment term and huge principal. But this type of loan requires you to offer your property as collateral. Your home is at risk if you fail to pay the monthly installment. But this is not permanent and holds true only if you miss or delay your repayment.

This type of risk is absent in an unsecured bad credit car loan. However, if you miss any payment, your lender can file a legal case against you. As you do not offer any collateral, you have to pay higher rate of interest.

When you compare both the types of bad credit car loans, the secured bad credit car loan is more flexible as regards the terms and conditions. The unsecured is more rigid. Hence if you are certain about making regular payments, secured option is the best.

The dealerships are your best bet. They will charge you high interest though, that is pretty bad credit, but they generally work something out.

Keep saving. Put $1500 down.Buy a car for $3500. Pay it off in less than a year. Your score will go up. Then you can use the piece of crap you bought at 3500 to get a newer car.

Even though your credit may be bad, there are still banks and
financial institutions that will approve you for a car loan. Depending on your credit rating, the auto lending company will determine your total down payment and the interest rate you will pay.

Here are a list of credit card companies that will finance a auto loan for people with bad credit.

Credit.com - can approve borrowers with past credit problems. They have very low interest rates for people with good credit, as low as 3.9%. You must have $1800 minimum income and the loan amount must be between $7,500-$50,000 to be approved.

1-800-AutoYES - Can get approved even with the most severe credit problems. Past bankruptcy or foreclosure are ok. They provide a response from a few minutes to a few hours.

E-Loan - They have relationships with many different funding
sources, so you can receive up to 4 different quotes. This will help you get the lowest interest rate and terms possible. Application process is quick and easy. Response within 24 hours.

Poor credit APR varies from 13.95% to 20.95%. Payments range from $539 to $751

HSBC Auto - A sub prime lender who specializes in auto loan for people with bad credit below the 550 credit score.

Remember, large car dealerships that deal with credit problems have a large amount of resources to get you approved for a new or used car loan. For the best possible auto loan, contact your local dealership and explain your situation.

There are lots of lenders who will finance you, due to your score you will fall under the Special Finance Department guidelines.

Find a local dealer that advertises Special Finance and call the manager, they will be able to help you.

You will need to provide proof of your income, proof of your residence, proof of your phone and provide several references with names, addresses and phone numbers.

Most big car dealers have "we will finance anyone" loans.

If that doesn't work, you can go as a last resort to a Buy Here Pay Here type companies.

Yes you can still get a car loan. Car loans are fairly easy to get. You can either get financing through the dealership or use a variety of other sources. We offer auto loans for bad credit or no credit history.

As with all loans, your interest rate will be higher if you have a low credit score. Good luck.

Well that depends how expensive the car is, what your income is, and what other debts you have.

Most likely someone out there will finance you. At high rates and special terms though.
