Get a prepaid visa. It will work anywhere visa credit cards are accepted. There are also other prepaid credit cards out there. |

Most sites accept debit cards in uk. If the card displays the visa sign then you should have no worries.
I worked in a call centre taking payments via cards a lot and the only ones that ever posed a problem were Visa Electron and Solo card. |

I use a prepaid Mastercard for all my internet shopping. If someone compromises the card ( which has happened) all they get is a few quid,
It works out very well, just load the card at the Post Office and away you go. |

Is it a debit card or an ATM card? Because ATM cards and debit cards sometimes get confused. Ask your bank to issue you a debit card with a Visa or Mastercard logo on the front. |

Your debit card is tied directly to your bank account so you should not use it online. Although 99.9% site are secure it only takes one bad one and you are broke. If you need a credit card I suggest you go to http://www.1-800BadCredit.com - They have a great credit card section that can help you. |

You could try a pay as you go credit card.
You put money on it and then use it as a credit card. |

Im not sure if its a debit card. Debit cards should be accpeted just about anywhere a credit card is, unless your bank has put some kind of a wierd restricion on it.
Contact your bank and tell them the situation. Like the person above me said, I am wondering if this is an ATM card.. or an actual debit card. |
