no way can you stop the payments as the cheques are guarateed.

WHEN not if, they leave your bank account, they will get paid and will not bounce, meaing that you will have to find the money to cover for them to prevent you getting charges from the bank.

The only way this could be sorted is if you go to the lender and extend the cheques by paying a small fee for each cheque to carry over for next month.

And your question is? What a dumbass.

No the cheques are guaranteed,so bank will pay them regardless of whether there are enough funds in your bank, contact your bank-not for an o/d,because if you could have done that you would have done it before writing those cheques out,sit down with an account manager, explain you have wrote the cheques and how much they are for. They should be able to put a temp o/d on and an agreement in place for you to pay the money back at a set amount a month, its in their interest, because the cheques will run through regardless, they masy take your cheque gaurantee off you, because its misuse of your account, but it will allow you to get back on top financially and get rid of the cheques once and for all and providing you keep the account right after that, you should get card etc back after about 6 months

Check the terms and conditions on the application you filled out.

Getting a legitimate loan and paying off these people quickly would be the smartest move you could make.

No, there isn't anyway to stop payment. They will hold your check, and will continue to run it through until it clears. This will cause your account to be overdrawn with fees, and they will eventually get their money anyway. If the check doesn't clear before a certain amount of time, they will turn it over to law enforcement as a "bad check". Then, on top of the amount of the check, you'll have to pay court costs ... and if you aren't able to pay it all, you'll go to jail. You need to just pay off the loans and get the hell out of that situation.

Never go to a payday loan establishment again! They charge outrageous amounts of interest, and they aren't really helping. They approve you for large amounts of money ... such as $400 or $500. That amount alone plus the interest would be enough to take up my entire paycheck for a week! So then, you are forced to take out another and another just to get by ... its absolutely EVIL.

You can put stop payments on the checks, however, the loan companies will take you to court.

While this is not a long term solution, you may want to try www.CashCall.com. They aren't a payday loan company; you pay them once a month. The interest rates are much lower than payday loans. This will at least get you out of Payday Loan Hell...you can pay them off all at once and then have the one loan to worry about paying once a month.

Those places are awful!! They are legal loan sharks. I believe if you don't pay them on time, they will send the check through your bank. Then you will be overdrawn and charged huge fees.
We had payday loans at a couple of places and ended up getting a loan thru my employer to pay them off. Do you have anyone legitimate that you could borrow money from to pay those places off? Good luck.
