Perhaps the fact you have a bad credit history should tell you not to get a credit card? |

Vanquis or Capital One. Be sure to pay it off every month though otherwise the interest is huge. |

Why in the world would you want a credit card with your credit already being in the red. The interest rates will be very high. Stay with cash it is cheaper trust me. |

Your bank is the best option, assuming you have been a responsible customer with them. If not, switch banks, and don't do anything there to raise suspicions for at least 6 months. Then, talk personally to a bank officer, explaining your goals are to do everything perfectly according to agreements, to build your credit rating. Something to consider is that usury brings out some of the worst facets of our complex beings. I feel the drooling over easy purchase using the card pulling on me, every time the situation emerges. But time and "experimental mistakes" have given me the fortitude to keep it under control, only for necessities, and all that. Whatever works for you to defend your credit rating as a survival tool, rather suffer under it as a vice, is the forked path now facing you. Good luck. Regards, Larry. |

Either a prepay credit cad where you can only spend what you have already paid for or a secured credit card. However bear in mind that whatever the secured credit card is secured against is at risk if you do not pay.
However please think very long and seriously before you even apply for anything. If your credit history is very bad, you would be just giving yourself the opportunity to get yourself in more trouble by taking a credit card. |

In my experience there are two types of Bad Credit Credit Cards. One is a secured card, and the other has a much higher rate of interest. Both can be used to rebuild your credit worthiness after getting back on your feet. Secured credit cards are great for rebuilding your credit. You send the credit card company a pre deposit amount set by the company<!--This amount will be equal to your credit limit. Pay over your minimum every month and send your payment in before the due date and you will build your credit up gradually. Never miss a payment, be late on a payment, or go over your credit limit even by a small amount.

You don't want the company to ever have to take from your pre deposit amount because they want you to handle your account just like you would an unsecured card. A great thing about this pre deposit amount that you send in is it can act as a savings account even earning a little-->bit of interest for you. After establishing yourself with the credit card company, they may decide to give you a unsecured credit card or increase the limit on the one you have with them without having to make another deposit. Secured credit cards are a good choice for anyone wishing to rebuild their credit history. |

I don't know for sure what card would be easiest for you, but I can tell you the easiest way to get approved for a card.My ex had really, really bad credit so he opened a savings account and got approved by the bank.Apparently it is standard practice to inform you how much you are approved for when you open an account. The card is not a bank card so card type would depend on who your bank worked with.Prepaid cards charge you per month and every time you add money so it is cheaper to have an account because you can cash your check for free and deposit your change. |

Why not save all that money you'll pay in interest a get a prepaid visa or mastercard. I works like a pay as-you go mobile and will not dig you any further into the debt trap. Most banks and credit card companies do not deserve your custom, and you do not deserve the lousy value for money that these loan sharks charge folk with a poor credit history. If you really must borrow, why not try a local credit union, oe even zopa, a financial cooperative |
