J T | I have been given a web address about bank charges. how do i know its real? |

If you want I can take a look at if you if you forward your address over to me.
It should tell you that bank charge claims are on hold, although you can still lodge your claim. Until the result of the case in the high court though at the end of next year, there is no guarantee you will get your charges back.
Also you shouldn't have to pay anything for them to lodge your claim.
To be honest, at this time with charges on hold, its better just to do it yourself. It involves sending 1 letter and thats it. You can then pick it up again when the court results are announced.
For more details about the current situation and how to claim yourself, have a look at my site below.
The site is an info site and completely free to use! |

Typically phishers use url masking through standard HTML to make it look like you're going to a site that you're not. The text might read http://www.yourbank.com but if you see the status bar it might read http://www.yourbank.somethingelse.com, for example.
The safest play is to just go directly to your bank's web site without click on a link. Few banks actually send alerts via email these days due to the rise in phishing. |

Don't click on it. Phishing is a bad bad thing! Call your bank for their website address or google it. |

Call the bank and verify info. |

Probably a phishing scam. Does your bank know your email address? I have never had a request for one from mine. |

... because it will say 'All reclaims are "on hold" awaiting results of a test case'
If, on the other hand, it says (or also says) 'We can reclaim your charges for you', you will know is a SCAM to con you out of your money.
(Learn to manage your own finances .. if necessary go to evening classes ... if you let others look after your finances, you WILL be taken for a ride and fleeced to within an inch of your life by the con-merchants and scam artists queueing up right now .. ) |
