Assuming you are in the UK - sign up with Experian and get a free credit check. This way you can know for sure. They are one of the main credit referencing agencies, and they work thiers out on a scale of 1 - 1000 (1000 being the best). I would be very suprised if you had managed to get a 3 on their scale!
This will explain what your rating is, what has affected that, and where you fit into the average UK consumer profiles. This is a lot more of a definite way of sorting this out than asking on YA! |

that is terrible as you start off with an average score of about 700 then it either goes up or down depending if you back your credit which you havent it seems...Good luck to you gonna take a long time to get any sort of finance on that |

it means you are actually destitute, you should be homelesss and probably about to get in the guiness book of records for that.

It is not good. Maybe the people who lived there before you have made that address a bad rating for credit. Unless you have had debts on the address where you are and have defaulted that will affect your rating. However, some credit ref agencies go by postcode only so maybe your neighbours have been bad credit raters. Check with Experian. |

Allan, it means that someone gave you incorrect information.
Not one of the big three bureaus offer a score that low. Someone simply gave you information from a reporting agency that does not count. Either that, or someone incorrectly gave you that info about a score with a real FICO agency.

It means the company you applied to for credit gave you a score of 3 based on their own criteria, they ade this decision based on your credit history that is held by companies such as equifax & experian it does not mean you will not get credit you will just have to look harder but making to many applications can damage your chances of gaining the credit as each search is documented. |
