I had to laugh when I first read this as I thought you meant points on Yahoo Answers. I thought to myself who in their right mind would want to pay for points.
Sorry now I know you what you mean LOL |

No, schemes and things like this are scams, the only way you can rebuild a poor credit history is to stay in one place for more than three years, and keep all payments up to date, and don't take on anything you cant handle! It takes time and patience, but that's the only way to get a better credit record |

No way this can be true. If it was, everytime someone had a credit issue, they'll just purchase points to raise their credit rating.
This has to be a scam. |

No it is not true. |

The closest I've ever heard of to this relates to mortgage loans. It is possible to 'buy' a lower interest rate. If anyone says they can increase your credit score, its a scam. |

Of course not! Anyone who claims so is a scam artist. |

It takes time to boost your credit rating. However, you can buy points when getting a mortgage in order to lower your interest rate. |

No that is not possible and its probably a scam, which is illegal. The only points that I know about are on your mortgage and you purchase points in the closing cost or in your prepays to lower your interest rate. But, I don't think you can with credit. The only way to rebuild credit is to pay your bills on time, don't have too much open credit and no collections, bankruptcies and/or foreclosures. |
