AMANDA M | I have paid dept of in full? |
does any one know if you pay a dept completely of if experia can clear it |

Speaking from experience having the same situation.
It will show up on experian as still a debt but a zero balance. If you want it to be completely taken off you have to contact the agency who you paid the debt off with and ask them to take it off. They will try to say that they can't do it but really put your foot down and tell them you need to have them take it off and they will. Next time before you pay off a debt have the collecting party agree to take it off of your credit report before you pay them. |

It will stay on your credit report for 7 years, but once it's paid it should show as a closed account. If it doesn't show as closed, send proof of the closure & a letter of dispute to Experian. |

no, although you can ask the company you owed to money to, to ensure that experian know it has been cleared. |

you can have it registered as settled, but it will remain on your history for six years from the day it was registered . |

Yes it will stay on your report, but if you paid it off and kept up repayments you would want to keep it on there.
You will want future lenders to know what a good customer you are and you will get preferential rates. |

On experian it will say the number of installments expected so as you pay each month a payment is taken away and it will say whether it was on time
But if it was a bad debt it will say whether you received a default, or ccj and if you have then paid it......it will show as SATISFIED |

no it will show but if you got to your local court with your receipts and reference number and a quid they will enter a satisfied note on your file |

you can contact experian and can put in a notice in your credit history to explain the debt (up to 200 words)- eg if you moved and not paying was an oversight (so future lenders will know youre not in the habit of not paying) This will help your credit rating.
If you show proof to experian that the debt is paid in full, your record will show that it is settled, but if you had a default registered on the debt (you would have got a default notice) it will stay on your record for six years from the date of the default being notified to experian. |

You will have to get on to Experian and tell them the debt is satisfied to have it removed from your credit record. |

I assume you are talking about a credit bureau. Yes, you can get a letter notarized attesting to the full payment.
Send to the credit bureau, registered, and request they correct your record. If they do not, contact your state's attorney general's office. |

No, it'll stay on your credit report for about 7 years showing paid. |
