I think what you are asking for is a legitimate credit restoration company. While there are a few legitimate credit repair companies, most are not very good. Some of the ones who are very good will ask you to pay a monthly fee and then drag your process on for a year or two so they can get more money out of you.
The fact is that you need to do some legwork. At the very minimum, you will need to provide the company you choose with your credit reports and any supporting documentation. You will never meet a legitimate company that will do EVERYTHING for you simply because of the way the laws are written concerning the way credit repair organizations must behave. These laws can be found in the Credit Repair Organizations Act.
And no matter what you may read advertised on the 'net, the FACT is that it has taken you time to ruin your credit and it is going to take time to get it fixed again. A good credit restoration company can get the job done in as little as six months in many cases but I have seen it take as much as a year for extreme cases. But the thing you have to go into the process realizing is that information that meets all 340 of the laws contained in the Fair Credit Reporting Act doesn't have to be removed. Only information that can be shown to violate one of those laws MUST be removed. The good news is that it is virtually impossible to report any piece of information about you AND meet all 340 requirements. So a good company who knows how to use those laws can remove virtually anything from your credit report.
The thing you need to consider, though is that a good company will cost you upwards of $1000. Those companies who charge $200 or so will only fill out form letters for you and throw them up against the wall and see of they stick. Fifty per cent of the time they will fail and you will have wasted your money. This means that you need to make sure the company you choose offers a money back guarantee. Be wary of companies who offer a money back guarantee that reads something like, "you will be refunded your money if no significant improvement is made to your credit reports." If they remove one item from your reports, they will consider that "significant" and not refund your money.

not sure what you meant by legwork that you have to do? And what is this "legit organization" are you talking about. But repair credit needs TIME, no way you can get it done quick. |

Like everything Else you have to crawl before you can walk.
I paid all my bills on time with no late payments but it was not my rent, power & light etc... that they ware looking at it was my student loan that after I got out of my bad credit/dept that they ware looking at as good credit. Get one of those credit cards for people with bad credet who are tring to rebuild their credit and make all your payments on time for a year and that should help your credit score go up. |

Make all your payments on time.
Don't give anyone authorization to review your credit unless you have to make a necessary purchase.
Revolving credit must be reduced.
Make sure that your oldest credit is your best. |

First you have to pay all your bills on time.
Second, pay off your credit cards. At least get them below 30% of the available limit. The ratio of debt to available credit limit is a big factor in your score. Anything over 50% kills your score.
Third, get a copy of your credit report. If there are errors, dispute them with the credit bureau. Start contacting the bad debt, newest one and work back to the oldest. Negotiate a settlement. Get the settlement agreement in writing and don't give them access to your bank account. Paid negatives are better than unpaid ones.
There are lots of companies that will promise to clean up your credit instantly. They will take your money and wave their magic wand but all those deficiencies will come right back.
The only way to clean up your credit is to establish at least a two year history of consistent on time payments. |

The only thing you can do to fix it is to win the lotto, pay off all your debt. What credit companies need to see is that you a re a reliable person that doesn't need to borrow the money. It's ironic but that is credit, if you need it you are a higher risk, and if you were slow paying in the past you are a worst risk. So you either won't get credit or you will have to pay such high interest it's not worth it. So you need to set up a budget and learn to live off of your income for awhile. It's not easy but that is all you can do now. |
