Do your very best not to borrow at all, certainly at any APR's that are high. However if you really do need to raise money go to the Citizens Advice first and get their support and idea's. |

Wow, who is that shark, you need to report them to the OFT. Seriously it depends what the loan is for and your personal circumstances. These are the things lender look for, Income (Do you have a job); Stability (Your time at current address and your time in employment); your relationship with the lending institution (Do you have an account with them). There are many companies out there who deal with Credit Impaired clients, talk to Citizen's advice bureau for a list of reputable lenders and stay away from the sharks! Good Luck |

Well Blondy I don't know, but I'd never consider such an apr. You'd be better to save up for whatever you need. Credit is one of those things that's easy to screw up but in the longrun you will pay for it. Sorry. |

You should try this site, I tried to get a mobile phone on contract only to be told that I had a poor credit rating. I was shocked and very embarrassed. When I checked out this site to find out why my rating was so poor, it turned out that a company selling home cosmetics (i worked for them ) had made a mistake and although I had paid the outstanding balance, they slapped on a late payment of £5 on my account, neglected to tell me and registered me as defaulting on the account. That was 5 years ago and I only just found out. I have never been able to get credit since and although I had to pay just under £15 for the service, it was the best £15 I have spent, as now I am able to get the problem sorted out and restore my credit rating.
