Good luck with rebuilding your credit. Credit cards can get you into trouble, but used judiciously, can be very useful. Make sure you only use it for things you need, and for the money you know you have. Pay all payments in full on time. Be responsible and you will bounce back. Like with anything, focus and discipline will be rewarded.
The card you get with bad credit will probably have high interest rates, and high fees, with low limit. After your credit improves, move onto a better card with no annual fee. |

Honestly, I know it is very hard to find a credit card with that score, my mothers is 488 and she got a card from rewards 660.
its a great card, and despite the charges they have, people might think that its a rip off, but trust me it is not, by far. it will help you re-establish your credit, and about after 6 months or so with having this card, i can honestly tell you that you can try applying for something like an orchard bank card
[another 'bad credit' credit card] you have great chances of getting approved. just give it a shot, over time, you'll love it.

Search under "credit cards for bad credit". There is one, can't recall which, that Consumer Reports recommends. The downfall of them all is the high fees.
Another alternative is to put some money in a bank account and start building your credit back up with a debit card. |

Try capital one - also secured credit cards which require your own money that you draw against to establish a postitive credit rating. Also maybe try a local credit counseling service for assistance in your area. |

You can get a 'secured' credit card. You deposit money in the bank offering the card and they will give you that same amount through a credit card. Check the interest rate first. |

I was able to get Orchard bank and Total Visa for around that score. I know the interest rates are high, but they helped me reestablish my credit and my score has gone up. Try one of these two. They are sure to help. |

orchard does bad credit cards. also try hooters mastercard, their apr is super high but they give out high credit limits to people with bad credit. |

Orchard Bank. They will do right by you.
I had them when my credit was a mess. They reported on time to the Big 3 and my score went up over time.
When my score reached 700, I transferred the balance to a 0% interest card from my bank.
I had the Orchard Bank card for 3 years. |

If you'd like to repair your credit score, here's some info:
There is a lobbying group called JONAS that repairs credit reports with the assistance of a federal agency. They have been successful in removing liens, judgments, bankruptcies, charge-offs, etc. from credit reports.
They also have been successful in getting judgments voided and liens removed from public records based on the findings of the federal agency.
