Your best bet would be a money order or sign papers where they can draft out of your account. |

It doesn't matter who pays the loan, as long as it's paid. Just make sure you put the correct loan ID number on your check, and send in the payment coupon so it gets put on the correct loan. |

they will take the money no matter who's name is on the check or money order. my suggestion though is to make sure that you put an account number in the ref area of the check so they know which account to credit the payment too. |

the first answer is good advice...I did this once and after paying for a while (6 months) I called them to be sure that it was being noted that I was paying the account. They said yes, and that if desired it could be set up to build up my own credit. |

It is perfectly OK, when I bought my car I got the loan under my mother's name, after a year of paying with checks with my name on them only I called them, because I was able to prove by those checks that I was the one making all the payment, the loan was put under my name and that helped my credit a lot! like the others said, just make sure you include the loan number in the check so it goes to the correct account, good luck! |

No it doesn't matter what name is on the check.
I took over payments on a truck that belonged to my brother. The loan is under his name, and I make the payments with checks that only have my name! I just make sure to write the account number on the check. I have NEVER had a problem with the bank! |

They don't care where the money comes from. As long as you write the account number for the loan on the check, to make sure it's applied to your (your b/f's) loan. |
