im wondering why i have the balance i have. I know i had to pay an annual fee and all but after the fee, i have 124.00 on the card but then when i just checked online, it says i have only 75.00 on it. i made no transactions or anything due to me not having the pin number in yet, thats coming in 7-10 days. So where is this charge from? im just worried since this is my first card, i got it so i can get some kind of credit to buy a car. Someone please help me out here so i can stop freaking out.

You got hosed.

You picked a credit card that charges you fees for opening your account.

Sorry, but it was in the fine print. Yes, they're bastards, but you still have to pay.

Live and learn.

Call the number on the back of the card and ask them. They will be glad to help you.

Your credit card probably has a $200 limit, and the tacked
the $124 onto your account leaving you with a remaining
balance of $75.

The question you need to ask yourself is "Am I paying a
monthly membership fee" my guess is that you are so
each month you own the card you have to pay in order
to keep the card.

Take my advice, call the credit card issuer and make
sure of all of the fees that you will pay and check to see
what your limit is, if it is $200 and the $124 fee that you
expected to pay is the reason. If you do have to pay a
monthly fee; Cancel the card immediately, pay off the
balance on that card and cut it up, send it back to the
issuer with a written letter to cancel (place the check in
the same envelope).

You are being screwed by one of the unscrupulous credit
card companies that prey on younger citizens starting out
and people that have been through bankruptcy and trying
to reestablish their credit.

$124 is not that much for the value of the lesson learned.
On you next credit card application be sure to read all
of the fine print.

Good Luck

call the customer service number on the back of the card. They'll be glad to help you.

Call the company and ask them what the charge is and don't be easy on them they probably have covered them selves because it probably is in the small print but dispute it they might waive it.
Good Luck .

If you have not made any purchases you should not have any charges.I would call the credit card company.Someone may have got a hold of your card number.I would not wait.call the company now

hey

check the general conditions of your credit card company. or call them ...

and the cut your credit card in half and send it back.

pay cash and open a savings account and save.

rockinbak
Call the credit card company and find out. Maybe you misread one of the fees or something. If you call them they should be able to tell you what the charge was for.

Ronnie
The best thing to do would be call the number on the card and ask them. If there's a hidden fee, close the account and get a better card.

thirsty mind
Use your card to pay a monthly bill. After you charge immediately make a payment to the card.

oboist2401
call the company. they can direct you to a person who can help, it's probably just a temporary thing... just ask them

stop freaking out cuz they can fix it if you just show them that they've made a mistake... they're there to sell you those cards, so they want to make you happy so you'll like their business and tell your friends...dont worry

and seriously, it's only 50 bucks... and it's only money... there are more important things in life

Call the credit card company and ask where these charges are coming from. Did you get a statement from them in mail or you got something in email. If it email telling you owe this much it could be fraud email. Just call the credit card company

Yeah, you've been taken.
Some credit cards have annual fees AND activation fees. They don't tell you this and when you get the card in the mail, it already has a bunch of charges on it.
The unsuspecting consumer charges some things on it and suddenly, he's over the limit! This is how these shady cards make money. They deceive you in order to charge over-the-limit fees. Then when you cannot pay, they also get to tack on late charges.
I would suggest you pay what you owe, close the card and then apply for one that's more reputable like Visa, MasterCard, or Discover.

You don't have to have a pin to use the card to make a purchase only for ATM transactions.

I'm sure that those fees were disclosed when you applied it's just that either you did not read the agreement or you don't remember.
