Hello,
The easiest way you can get hold of a credit card from the local bank is by requesting for a supplementary card from your parents if they have one. Alternatively you can also request for a main credit card if your annual income is $30, 000 if you reside in Singapore.
However, i wouldn't recommend you to get a credit card if you tend to overspend as the accrued interest on each of your payment at the end of the month can hit as high as 18% if you only made the minimum payment each month. Instead, you should consider getting a visa/mastercard debit card which has got the same function, just that they debit directly from your savings or current account.

you wanna already put yourself in debt at 18?? if you want a credit card just to look like a 'cool adult' then just go to washington mutual and get a free checkings/savings account and you can get your own gold mastercard with it!
but getting a real credit card, just go to chase or one of those stupid places thatll charge high interest rates. |

To start your credit rolling, try getting a Gas card first, like a Chevron card, Shell card etc. they are the easiest to get and if you get one you can start building your credit, by paying your bill on time, and in 6 months or so, you can then try for a department store card, or maybe even a Visa. Good Luck |
