Don't lend anything out and expect it back. Loans can ruin relationships. I always loan with no expectations. If it's something I will really want/need back, I wont lend it at all.
Since it's already done, ask for the money, it is yours after all.
If they never pay you back, you'll know that you can't trust this person anymore. But try not to get stressed out about it. |

Next time you see them tell them you are running a little short this week and ask them if they can give you the money back. If they say no ask them if they can give you part of it back. Then every time you see them ask them again. And don't ever loan friends money. It is the fastest way of loosing them! |

confront them. there is the possibility that they forgot but most likely will try to get out of it unless you say something. you did this person a favor and they need to repay you. offer them payments if they need it but do not allow them to get away without paying you. No one can take advantage of you without your permission. good luck!!! |

Was it alot of money and was this person a friend? Did you put anything in writing? If you have a written agreement, you could possibly take him/her to court. If there was no written agreement- then you need to call this person. Don't be hesitant to call. You want your money don't you? Call them and ask when they are giving you the money because they have had plenty of time. If they dont give you the money- take it as a lesson learned. Don't give out money unless you have something signed by that person that says they are going to pay you all the money back by whatever date. |

If you have something in writing, such as a promissory note or other writing saying that you loaned them the money and they agreed to pay it back, you could take them to court.
