You know, the best thing to do is not to buy this car. Seriously |

Ok, you should really not finance the down payment, it is a recipe for disaster. And it sounds like the dealer is really putting pressure on you - Don't fall for it. If they can finance you, someone else can too. Tell them tough luck and come back in a few month when you have the money. |

Can't help you out, as I am in the same boat. But I am going to be following this feed and hopefully someone can suggest something that works for both of us. |

go to your local bank and open a passbook savings account then take the passbook to the bank officer and get a loan for twice the amount using the passbook as collateral then if that isn't enough take the loan and go to the next bank and do it again until you have the money amount you desire this will also get you AAA credit |

I was in the same bind a couple of years ago and I went to a local credit union--They are sometimes easier to deal with than Banks. They will let certain employees of certain companies ex) Kroger and any of the family members join. Good luck! |

Sell belongings, or your body if its legal in your area.
Try a pawn shop, you could buy your things back at a later time.
Take it to the Casino and run it up.
Call your grandmother, she's lonely anyways.
Amateur night at the strip club, dance your *** off!
Get approved for a credit card in a hurry, write a convenience check to yourself. |

You done screwed yourself. Why would you tell them you had more than you really did for a down payment? If this is the predicament you are in now, then how is it going to be when you get the car? Are you going to be able to make the payments? The only thing i can suggest is that you tell the car place that you don't have the amount that you thought and see if they won't adjust it in your loan, good luck though. Sorry to be so blunt, but it really is the truth. By the way, a check advance place is not going to give you that much money. You will see come tomorrow that I was right. I really do wish you the best of luck though.:) |

If there was a way for people to get 2 Gs in less than 24 hours, trust us we'd all know about it. Those Check into Cash places won't even give you more than $400. Dude, I'm sorry to say, skip the car. If your credit was better, you'd be doing 0 down payment. |

tell the dealer what your problem is. they will usually work with you. they may ask for a check that they can hold for a few weeks. worth a shot...worked for me once!

getting a pay day loan would not be a good idea, the int rest is insane, and it would need to be paid off with your next pay check or in 30 days to avoid huge penalties. if family or friends cant help, with a repayment that you can afford, you cant afford this car right now |

I agree. you can find quick loan companies online, they will charge you and arm n' leg. is it worth it, they will charge you the maximum legal rate for finance they can, like 32% or somethin crazy like that. |

Your down payment should not be more than you can afford based upon your credit. If a salesperson is pressuring you to put that much down, he's probably crooked and including his commission in the amount he wants you to put down. In other words, he's basically, "paying himself first" off your poor credit! Maybe you should look for a less pricey vehicle or something more in your price range? Look in a local classifieds listing for some "FSBO" (For Sale By Owner) car that's not as new -- anything driveable with four tires and a steering wheel under $5000 (there are some good deals out there if you're willing to look). Talk to the owner of the vehicle and arrange to make payments that are in your price range. At least you'll have something to drive! Your insurance will be less, too. |
