Let him sit. Eventually they will probably let him out without the bail, unless the charges include violence.
DO NOT go into debt to find bail money. He got himself in there. Let him call his mother or buddies to bail him out. This might be a good time for you to get rid of him and find a new boyfriend that has a good job and doesn't get arrested.
