I am very sorry to hear about your husband. Unfortunantly I know someone real close to me that went through this same exact thing recently. First of all do you have any close relatives or friends that can loan you the amount that you will need?? That would be the best route to go. You may feel like you don't want to burden those people with your problems or feel embarassed but trust me, they would rather have you tell them whats going on and ask them than to see you lose your home. And there is no reason to feel embarrased either. This happen to thousands of people every year.
If asking a relative is out, then I suggest you get a co-signer for the loan, try a loan company (usually just require a paystub) or you can try typing in "loans with bad credit" on google. I hope I was of help and I'm sure everything will work out in the end:)

Not to sound like an ***, but you may end up losing your home. It might be a good idea to talk candidly with your creditors and explain the situation. If you have any things of value that you really don't need then sell them. Getting one of these "bad credit loans" is just going to make the situation worse. You have to find a way to dig out, and bankruptcy is no guarantee that you will keep your home. If you have some equity in your home you could always put it on the market and try sell it for enough to pay off your debts. Find a decent apartment and get back in the workforce to boost your income. There is no easy solution to this, and someone that tells you that there is will just be lying. I am not an advocate of religion, but if you have connections at a church, that might not be a bad place to get some guidance. I know many churches have access to financial counselors who may be able to give you the knowledge to get a budget together and get out of this hole.

Good Luck, you can do it!

Cut back on everything you can do away with.

Obtain a *secured* credit card, and use it.

Talk to your creditors about creating a repayment plan, and lay everything out.

DO NOT accept loan offers found here on Y!A, or that come to you.

If worst comes to worst, declare bankruptcy. It may be a seven year hit on your credit rating, but they can (usually) not touch your home and car.

Lastly, talk to a credit councilor and a lawyer. Both will usually offer a first visit fre of charge.

I don't know if you have the ability, but you might want to look into some affordable childcare and go back to work. I don't know the complete story, but if you need money, work is usually the best way to get it.

I wouldn't suggest getting a loan. If you have no money now, how are you going to pay on a loan? Gather your bills together, and start calling. A lot of places will reduce monthly payments due to hardship. It's a place to start at least.

Just don't accumulate more debt, it is the worst thing you could do in the situation.
