I'm in a similar situation... I gave up on the lottery because people in our position need a large lump sum to get us out of our mess, right? And the lottery is highly unlikely. So my best bet is to curb my spending, SAVE SAVE SAVE, and get another job. That's all you can do for now. Good luck. |

First of all contact a consumer credit counselor in your area. Go to a NON PROFIT one. Don't fall for anyone who tells you they can erase your debt. this is totally false.
DONT try to get a debt consolidation loan with anyone other than a Non Profit credit counseling business. If you do you are just getting in deeper because they will charge you an obscene interest rate.
Credit counseling can work with your creditors to reduce your payments and possibly interest and late fees. They can also help you rebuild your credit.
As for the $1K, look at where you spend the most money...do you buy lunch and/or dinner every day? If so start brown bagging it. Do you buy expensive coffee and pastry in the morning? If so, stop....You could save $150/month on coffee and pastry alone.
If you drive, try taking the bus or other mass transit. With the price of gas now days you can save lots of money that way.
Write down every penny you spend for a week, then look back and decide what you could have done without. Then do without it.

the only thing i can think of is getting a new credit card with a 0% balance transfer rate so at least you wouldn't be paying lots of interest on your horrible credit card.
but if you get refused a loan, you may get refused a new credit card as well, however it's worth a try. a lot of credit card companies do a lot of good deals. |

Dont worry about it!! there are plenty of lenders out there who will give you money even though you have bad credit. go to www.badcreditalliance.com. the site will provide links to lenders for people with bad credit or a history of bankruptcy. Hope this was helpful. Good luck! |
