I need to find out who an 800 number belongs too?
some one is taking money from my bank account and all i have is a 800 number and they don't answer when i call. No company name is give on the automated system either
Your bank should be able to assist you with locating who it is and stop it. otherwise close your account and open a new one with different account #
Also- you can google the phone number...
if that doesn't work call MCI/ATT/local phone and ask them - if you tell them the story someone should be able to pull something up on them to find out at least what company it is registered too.
If you send me the number I can see if some of my friends at the phone company can pull anything up on it,.

Go to your bank. You can find out who is taking the money out from your bank. You can also tell them to stop payment on any future automatical withdrawels to that person until they are verified as a legit creditor.

Google may work for tracing the number. As a bank employee, I can guarantee your bank can identify whoever is debiting your account. If they can't they have set themselves up for a regulatory nightmare and a massive class action lawsuit. In short, if they aren't extremely helpful in identifying the company involved, mention an attorney and the branch manager should become the most helpful person on the planet in about 2 seconds.

I have always found that google works pretty well. Go to google.com and enter the phone number without any dashes, hyphens or parenthesis. Like this: 8005551212 not like this (800)555-1212.

Go to reverse look up -
And call the bank!

try inputting the number as a google search; I've used that process before for business projects and gotten a lot of success. Otherwise, of course, call the number is pretty sure way to find out who is on the other side!
