Pay the money you owe. Chances are you are already in the ChexSystem and if you don't clear this up, you won't be able to open another bank account. |

It will effect you till you pay it and it may be hard now for you to ever do business with that bank again - go into the branch and tell them what happened and tell them you will make payments if you have to, that you want to make it right.......after all you spent the money, you should pay it back. |

Make arrangements with the bank to pay them back. Most of the time they are willing to set up a payment plan. By now they have probably reported you to Chexsystems or some other consumer agency and it will probably affect your chances of getting a checking account elsewhere in the future |

If I were you, I will pay them back ASAP!!!
And if they didn't already, they report it on your credit report within 60 days of the occurence.
By now, you're on ChexSystems also and if you try to apply to open another savings or checking account at another bank, your information will show up from ChexSystems and the bank will denied you for a bank account. |
