You KNOW it's a scam, otherwise you wouldn't be asking to keep your name or bank out of the equation!
A lottery will NEVER send you a check to cover taxes or "other fees". Taxes are taken directly from the winnings.
If you cash the check and send to this 'lottery office', you'll never see your 'grand prize' or hear from these people again.
Plus, you'll owe back the bank for the face value of the phony check. You may also be questioned about trying to commit fraud.
So go ahead! |

Sure it is a scam. Look up the lottery name and you will probably find links to fraud sites about the lottery. Also look at the back--often there is some tiny language on the signatory space that obligates you to something or another simply by cashing the check. |

Sell the check to some sucker then run like heck. Or use it to purchase something from an individual sucker like you. HAHAHA. Just joking.
Believe me, it's a scam! Put it in a picture frame and hang it on the wall as a reminder to stop using the computer to get rich quick. Do it the old fashioned way. Work for it! lol |

If you don't remember entering the Lottery, then
Chances are that's its not, there are many SCAMS out there. Call the bank that the check is from and ask them, |

total scam. if you are curious, you could ask the bank to check it out for you. under no circumstances should you actually try to cash the check. try to deposit it and see what happens ;) |

If they ask for any of the money back after you cash it for "processing fees" then yes its a scam. The way it works is, you cash it. You send the person that sent you the letter the money, a few weeks later your bank calls and says "you are over drawn by 3950 + 50 overdraft. Pay now or we take you to court" |

Let's see, you think it might be a scam so you want to
'get someone else' to cash it
so that you wont have any blame.
NICE!!!
My mouth is literally hanging open. I actually had to re read your question to make sure that you wrote that!
You are an azzhole and there is no nice way to put it! You know or suspect that this is a fraud yet you dont mind using innocent person to cash the check! That person will cash it based on what he thinks is a friendship with you and as a result HE WILL GO TO JAIL/ obtain fraud charges etc and not you!
WOW!!
But I assume that birds of a feather flock together so you probably have 'friends' who are used to this kind of treatment as you were probably all comrades in the pen together anyway.
You are officially todays clear winner of the azzhole award! |

Ok no you cannot cash the check without the your name bank and probably much more info being involved. It is most likely a scam. And odds are if you have been entering all these types of websites and contest etc your identity has already been stolen. |
