It sounds like a scam. Why in the world would someone need your credit card number when you already have their check?
My opinion....contact the postmaster general's office in your city and see if they are interested in investigating it. It's an obvious mail fraud case, and they may be interested in looking at it.

DO NOT SIGN IT, istead I would take it to your local Chamber of Commerce. They can refer you to the Better Business Bureau where they may be able to track down the place where this check came from. Make sure to take the envelope in which it came in with you. If you do not have a Chamber of COmmerce in your town look in the yellow pages for the Better Business Bureau. Call and give them all the info you can about the check. Hopefully they can help you. |

bad idea. Did you buy something in order to qualify for the rebate? If it is a legitimate business, they have no business asking for your credit card number. Sounds like a scam to me. |

Depends if it is a small amount probably not, usually what they do is charge the card # you put on there, #1 point always read the fine print. If no fine print toss the rebate in the trash. Thats what Id do. |
