How do i get a credit card despite my bad credit history?

Depending on what type of credit card you were denied for, there may be some other options. Many credit card issuers offer credit cards designed for people with bad credit. You can find a complete list of these cards here:

http://www.wowcreditcards.com/bad-credit.htm

I'm assuming you applied for a credit card that was for someone with GOOD CREDIT. If this was the case, you might want to try one of these other offers. Although you'll probably receive a higher interest rate and pay some additional fees-- with regular, on-time payments you'll have the chance to prove yourself and raise your credit score.

Eventually, you'll be able to apply for better offers with lower APR's and less fees. But for now-- you'll be limited to these offers.

Hope this helps! GOOD LUCK!

If you are looking for a credit card for bad credit, there are many options to choose from. The two main types of cards available are either a secured credit card or an unsecured credit card for bad credit. Both types of cards can help you repair your credit by giving you an opportunity to establish a good payment history. The costs and fees associated with each type of card are very different, however. In addition, depending on how bad your credit is, whether you have sufficient income and other personal details, you may only qualify for one or the other.

First let's look at the secured credit card for bad credit. A secured credit card requires that you deposit money with the issuing bank, and the bank will issue a credit card in the same amount for your use. Secured cards are guaranteed to be approved, because the bank has your deposit money in case you do not pay your balance. A secured credit card for bad credit operates much like a regular credit card. You receive a monthly statement, and you pay your minimum monthly payment or the balance in full each month. You are charged an interest rate, annual fee and possibly other fees for a secured credit card account.

Be aware that with a secured credit card for bad credit, your charges are not deducted from the deposit you have with the issuing bank. The bank is simply holding your deposit in the case that you default on your credit card balance. You must pay your monthly payments, and owe the bank the balance that you have charged on the credit card. You cannot refuse to pay simply because the bank is holding a deposit without further damaging your credit.

If you need credit right now, your best bet would be to get someone to co-sign for you, if you can find anyone willing to do that. Otherwise you could always just steal somebody's identity. I hear they only catch about 5% of people that do that these days, and to top it off you wont have to pay it back either.

If you have bad credit that means you had some financial problems, why are you looking to go back in debt.
Have you made any attempt to clean up your old accounts?

If you don't get a credit card now, your chances of getting one will only go down from here. Every piece of credit you apply for--especially credit cards--will appear on your credit and they can lower your scores with each inquiry, which will make getting credit even harder to obtain in the future. The more credit you apply for, the more desperate you look for money. And that tells creditors you aren't worth the risk.

Pay all your bills on time for a year or so. That will improve your credit rating, and you'll be more likely to be able to get credit. If your credit rating is low, the last thing you need is a credit card to help you dig in deeper!

You get a secured card. That's when you send the company a deposit and they hold it for a certain length of time as collateral against your credit card balance. If you default on your payments...they keep the deposit. These are good for helping to reestablish your credit.

There is still hope!!!!
theres lots of sites on-line that offer unsecured credit cards.
All you need is a checking account.

Credit cards are bad news. If you have such a bad credit score you must of had some trouble in the past. If you need some extra money there are many more options out there besides credit cards. Talk with your local bank, most banks have low interest personal loans that can really help you out. Just make sure you pay on time and your credit score will improve.

Bad credit is one of the worst problems to have... however there exists a solution.

I will hereby talk from my personal experience.

I did debt consolidation a couple of years ago, however If I had to do it again I would pay to some minor details,
if someone wants to get out of debt today it is pretty easy with a debt consolidation plan, however it may get a bit tricky at times, I suggest you get as much information as possible online on this first,

a good place to start in my humble opinion is astraight to the point ebook with question and answer I found :

if it helps kindly remember me in your voting!.. cheers!

Judy is right!! You do not need another credit card if you have bad credit, it is a high risk thats why you are getting denied, but if you really want one, OrchardBank offers one, also Premier Mastercard offers one, just go to the google search engine and type in "credit cards bad credit", it will bring up alot of different banks that offer them. But the credit limit is usually really low, and they usually charge like a $150 annual fee which is already charged to your card by the time you get it. Good Luck.

"Apply for a rewards credit card. Reward credit cards reward you when you spend on the credit card. Normally, you can collect rewards through 3 ways.

* It involves earning cash back on the card, it depends on the amount you spend.
* Next one involves giving points to the customers. They can be redeemed for gifts like cosmetics, shoes, water heater, mobiles and other goodies which the credit card company offers.
* The last method of reward is providing airmiles. Airmiles are highly popular reward, as many customers like to redeem them for free flights or flight upgrades. Whatever type of reward credit card you opt for, carefully note the amount or rate at which rewards will accrue and also read carefully other terms and conditions.
