Actually I have sold two things to two different buyers and on Ebay its still saying ' I am awaiting payment for 2 items' but when I go to 'View paypal account' it takes me to paypal and says 'You've received a PayPal payment. Complete this PayPal sign up form to claim your funds' But I have an account and when I log in it says the balance is still at £0.00 |

In the Recent Activity list, does it show the details of that payment? If so, it will say next to it whether its been Cleared or Uncleared (it might still be uncleared because the buyer might have paid by eCheque). If you can't see any details of the payment in your Recent Activity at all, then the payment may have been fraudulent, i.e. the confirmation email isn't from Paypal. If in doubt, forward the email to spoof@paypal.com

DON'T post to Nigeria, I'm sure you've heard of the Nigerian scammers, I've had a few "Paypal confirmation emails" from them. Forward the emails to spoof@paypal.com

Well in that case the payment should have gone directly to the Paypal email address that you put in the listing. You shouldn't have to sign up for a new account. Did you include your Paypal address in the listing? |

Hi. Ifyou got an email from paypal saying your payment is being released when the item is sent then its a scam. Dont send anything until you got the money cleared in yr paypal account. If you log on to your paypal as usual, then you may have to accept the payment from the "recent activity " part. |

Could be an e-check, they take a few days to clear. Or it's a fake payment of some kind.
Do NOT send th item until the proper amount is cleared and in your paypal account. People love to scam others on ebay and paypal.

Sounds lke a fake paypal payment. Any genuine payment WILL be in your paypal account. Please report to eBay and Paypal.

Contact paypal.
If you go to www.paypalsucks.com you can get the local numbers to call the directly.
It MIGHT be that the person did pay you and the money is in a pending state meaning that the person initiated payment but it is taking awhile for the money to leave that person's bank account (or credit card) to get into your account.
Check your account history to see if this is the case before you waste your time making the phone call.
Whatever the case, write a polite email to your buyer and tell him that you cannot send the item until the funds clear. (THey should understand that) |

Some emails are frauds, so it is best to sign into the account and not follow a link from the email message.
Sometimes payments can be credited to your bank or credit card.
Sometimes paypal hold onto the money if it seems like there was some problem with the transaction. Paypal held some of my money without notice. |

Could be an echequ - takes a few days to clear. Otherwise it could be a credit card payment and if you don't have a premier account, you cannot accept it. |
