Well in California at least, if its under a $1000, it might be considered a misdemeanor. And over that is a felony. Regardless whether you were pregnant or not, I'm sure you were a grown up mature adult and understood the consequences that might be attached to taking money. |

If you're on a guilt trip, the best thing to do is consult an attorney. I'm sure it's going to cost you more than $500 to settle but at least it will be done and over with. There's an old saying in the collection business: " If you're gonna be a thief, make sure you can retire from it". |

If they find out, you are going to be required to pay it back, and they will probably report you to the authorities. It makes no difference if you were pregnant or not. The law really doesn't care about that.
Why did you do it? Because you thought you could get away with it? Obviously, it's bothering you, otherwise you wouldn't be here asking what is going to happen to you. |

Is there an investigation? Have they found out? How long ago was it?
