First understand and accept the fact that your friend probably did not make a personal decision to become that way. Your friend most likely had no choice in the matter. Second, understand and accept the fact that your friend is probably not going to bring harm to you or anyone else. After you've got those things under your belt, it will be easier for you to carry on your established friendship with your friend, and you should carry on with it. And finally understand that you could be wrong about your friend's preferences. |
