I sincerely doubt it. Amazon is a reputable company. If you're talking about the marketplace though, it is sort of like ebay. I doubt you'll get ripped up, but use your best judgement, and look for markers like poor ratings. |

no they will not! amazon is a huge company that won't use your credit card number - except for to process your payment. as far as i know amazon is not like ebay where different people are selling things - amazon is a huge company that sells new things. |

Amazon is sorta like ebay, but you don't "bid" it's not auction style. I've never had a problem with my credit on Amazon and I've purchased there alot. Also try HALF.com, they are apart of ebay (but fixed prices) and its safe and your book my be cheaper there. |

amazon has two parts
the main part is the regular amazon store (which you can
buy a lot of things from amazon
then other part is called Amazon marketplace
now the market place is lot ebay (but no bidding)
where users sell stuff to other people
they also get feedback from buyers as well
now if you are placing a marketplace order
amazon collects the money and fees then has the seller
send you your item
so teh seller nevers sees your credit card number |

no. 'they' cant steal you credit card #. the site is just linked to a whole bunch of different websites selling the same thing you are looking for. if you are worried about your credit number, check out the site amazon linked to you to selling that book you want. (you can get a gut feeling just by checking out the looks of websites)
i have bought something from amazon before. it never came. then when i finally checked out the actual website i bought the product from, i realized right away that i should not have bought anything from them.

No, Amazon is one big company, its not a bunch of different ppl selling stuff seperatly. I've bought from Amazon.com and have never had a problem, I actually do recommend them. |

Yes it's just like ebay just another company and they haven't stolen anyone elses of hundreds of thousands of people that have used it so I doubt they're going to steal yours. |
