Im always wary of these free services so I would personally go to the Experian web site and request it from there. I have done this in the past with no problem. I sent them a cheque for £2 for this service.

You can get a free annual credit report, but it is just a report and doesn't include your FICO Score, this is something that you have to pay for.
The idea behind the free credit report is so that you can check for instances of identity theft -- it is not offered to give you the FICO score, which is what a lot of people want.

That's the only way you're going to find out what your credit score is. Freecreditreport.com is the best way to go. You have to become a member but you can cancel before 30 days and you won't have to pay any membership fees.

You're allowed to check your credit score free once a year, I think. Contact any of the big three credit reporting bureaus. Or it you are turned down for credit, and a credit bureau is listed as a source you can check you credit under those circumstances also.
