when looking for a credit you look for low interest rates, no annual fees and rewards but remember it all depends on your credit score, but sounds like you have no credit so in your case you have to start off with a lower end credit card to start building credit use it for a few months just enough to build some credit once you have done this you could apply for a higher end card such as Discover, Citibank which carry lower fees and no annual fees but in the mean time you will be hit whit annual fees and higher interest rates but remember that if you use your credit card and send in your full payment at the end of the month you will not pay any interest, check out www.fastcreditcardapprovals.com under no credit section. |

You need to get your credit started ........ buy something from a place called finger-hut they will give it to you on credit then tons of CC companies will be sending you applications then................. you will owe for the rest of your life |

DO NOT A CREDIT CARD!!! the best thing to do if you do not have any credit is to go to the bank and get a $1000 loan and then switch it over to a CD (certificate of deposit), that is a high interest savings account...then you have $1000 when your done and the APR is going to be way lower than any dredit card, |

You need credit if you ever want to buy a home someday.
Try store credit cards like Kohl's, Target, Kmart, Jcpenny.
Try gas cards like Racetrack, BP, Shell.
Keep trying -- you will get one eventually.
Make sure you have a checking account - of course (and a job).
After 6 months you can start applying for regular visa/mc.
Of course, pay them in full each month to keep your rating at a top level.

well i am only 15 and my dad is teaching me the same thing. first you should probably collect some money that you want to put on the card.(for debit) and then you should call your bank and tell them that you are interested in getting a credit card. then they will ask you important stuff and then they will send it to you. if you pay your bills online, you can also add the money to your debit section of the card as well. hope this helps!!!! |

You do not need a credit card to build good credit. I suggest you start by checking out a credit union. You can start a relationship with an institution that can help you build your credit.
Pay your bills on time including rent, utilities & insurance. Start there. |

I got my first one from a retail store, I think it was J.C. Penney's. To actually build credit, don't send your payment in right away, pay maybe half the first month and the other half the next month, you may have to pay some interest but it will build fast then after maybe 6 months apply for a major credit card. Its easy to get in over your head though, so spend wisely! If you can't afford it you don't need it! |

Try getting one from Capital One.. The interest is very high but they give a credit to just about anyone.. as long as you pay off what you spend straight away you will build your credit history straight away then eventually you will be able to get better rates with better companies.
Also you can do this with store cards but the interest is a complete rip off so make sure you pay it off straight away!
Everyone needs a credit history otherwise you will struggle when it comes to getting a mortgage or something in the future but dont go crazy and max out your cards! |
