I want to learn about credit debit card?
i want to learn how to get a debit card and what i can or cannot do with the card. how can i start?

The first thing to learn is that a credit card is not to be used to buy things that you can't afford. Use it as a convenience so you do not need to carry cash. Do that and you will never have problems.

You get a debit card from your bank. If you get the "Visa" type of card, you can use it exactly like a Visa credit card. The difference between the two is that the debit card takes the money directly out of your bank account (so it is like a check, and is not credit), while a credit card makes a loan of the money.

A debit card is pretty much like a credit card. Most places now take debit over phone and on internet. I was in a store the other day that would take debit but not credit!! To get a debit card you need to have a valid and active checking account, you don't need to use checks you can just use the card. Once you use the card it takes the amount you used RIGHT out of your account. You cannot overdraw with a debit card!

well...congratulations!

Human flypaper is a great tool to impress the ladies, till the bill comes due.

Go to Capital One or Western Union. Give them money. They'll give you a small plastic card, and you'll feel established.

After you see the charges they ding you for existing, thinking you exist, trying to not exist and sleeping...you'll soon learn that you must marry a well employed girl.

Treat her better than any guy, and all will be well with you.

Other than that, you'd be better off to stand at a freeway off ramp with a cardboard sign, begging for money.

I've tried both, and they are pretty reliable, till the temperature rises.

Good luck!

You must first open a checking account in a banking institution. Once opened, you may apply for a debit card. If provided with one, a password or number will be set up for your use only. When you make a purchase where debit cards are accepted, you will asked to scan your debit card through a machine, enter your password/number, and okay the transaction. The transaction is then simultaneously sent to the bank where you have the checking account, where the amount of the purchase is then deducted from your checking account balance. In short, a debit card acts exactly like you writing a personal check, only the transaction is done by wire. Debit cards are never used or not accepted as credit cards.

Make an appointment at your local bank. All you need to get a debit card is to open a checking or savings account. If you don't have an incoming income, make sure you have some money you plan on keeping in there... some accounts are closed if you have a $0 balance for several months.

Debit cards are like cash... anywhere that takes Interac or "debit" you use it like cash. You will have a 4-number PIN (personal identification number) that you press to access your account after you or the cashier swipes the card. If there isn't enough money in your account to pay, then it won't approve the transaction, so it's not like a credit card where you can get into debt. Don't tell anyone your PIN, and make sure to always make sure no one's looking over your shoulder.

There are many prepaid credit cards available online. You can shop thru net to save time and energy. Also, don't forget to read the TOS of the credit company before you apply for their card.

Debit card= It's issued by your bank. When you use it, the money will come directly from your bank account.

Credit card=You use it to charge things you don't have the money for, then you make payments on the amount you 'borrowed' each month. You will also have to pay interest fees and any late fees incurred. You have a limit on how much you can spend, and if you go over it even one dollar, you may have to pay $38 in late fees. Best to pay the balance in full each month.

I would advise against credit cards b/c most charge excessive interest & late fees, and over limit fees.

There's a lot of banks that offer the debit credit cards. You use them as a regular debit/credit card, and you can put more money on them as you see fit. This way, there's no worries about maxing out a card. You can only spend what you put on it, like a gift card.

You can get a check card (debit) at a bank. You can go to the bank and open a checking and/or savings account. They will give you a check card that can be used when paying for something either using credit or debit. When you pay with credit, the money is taken out of your checking account within 1 to 3 business days. When you pay with debit, the money is taken out of your checking account instantly and will reflect in your account immediately. You cannot pay for something with debit that is more than what you already have in your checking account. You cannot pay for something with credit that is more than what you have in the bank in your checking account without going to the bank almost immediately and deposit the remaining into the bank, so that you do not overdraw. You can also go to an ATM and withdraw money from your savings or checking account with your check (debit) card.

Credit/debit card is a card you use where the money comes out of your checking account. If you have $200 in your checking account you can use your credit/debit card to use this amount. If it has a visa logo you use it like a visa credit card, mastercard logo ,same thing. It's like writting a check out from your checking account without the checks.

Credit cards are an inevitable reality in modern financial world. Many factors prompt people to acquire credit cards . The five most popular reasons are listed in this article, not necessarily in that order.

1. No need to carry cash. The plastic does it all.

Imagine carrying a 10000 bucks in your pocket. The anxiety, insecurity and simply the bulk will keep on nagging you. People like to avoid this feeling and a credit card helps them achieve this.

2. Rewards, rewards and more rewards

Cashback, travel, airmiles, stay in hotel, special stores discounts, you name the rewardt and the credit card companies have it. Coupled with a great customer service program, this becomes a big factor luring people to take credit cards. Read more about it at: http://www.credit-card-gallery.com/article/215,5_important_reasons_why_people_apply_for_credit_cards

You get a debit card at a bank, mine is a visa, so I can use it any where that takes, visa. Of course its just like a check, so make sure you have money in the account. Bank of America also has it were you round up to the nearst dollar and put the change into a savings. Alos I think you can find out more information at bankofamerica.com, were you can open accounts.

A debit card has to be issued by the bank that you have your checking account at. When you use it, the money comes directly out of your account. Talk to your bank.

First, you have to open a Checking account with a bank then after a week or so, they mail you the debit card.
after gettin ur debit card, make sure u actually have money in the bank cuz if u charge something on the card and u dont have enough money in the bank to pay it off, then u are gonna b slapped with a $27 overdraft fee. Simply put, dont spend more than what u have on your checking account with that card
