You are allowed one free credit report a year...you write them a letter and request one...you should get it in a couple of weeks, if there is anything that needs to be disputed...all the information is on the report that you get in the mail. I wouldnt trust getting it online...I would write them a letter...Im at work now... but I have the address at home, if you want I could email it to you...Crystalr04@aol.com

I recently used FreeCreditReport.com - it covers all 3 agencies. It will give you just Experian for free, you pay a small fee to see all three. Good luck!

Each agency is seperate. So you should request one from each. You can go to the sites by just googling the names.

Equifax
Experian
Trans Union

If you are in the U.S., you are entitled to one free one from each every year. If you want your credit score you will have to pay extra. Once you get your reports, check them over, if there are inaccurate items on the report, you can usually do a dispute online or send in a paper dispute. The creditor you are disputing, has 30 days to respond by either removing the item or repsonding that it is an accurate report. If you believe it is still inaccurate you will need to provide documentation backing up your claim. If the creditor does not respond in that thirty day time period, the item is automatically removed.

Good luck

Look at: transunion.com
equifax.com
&
experian.com
You are entitled to 1 free credit report from each agency per year, but if you want your actual credit score you will have to pay a small fee & they will give it to you....

You can go to each website & print a copy of each of their reports for your records & they give you 30 free days to view your report on line, after that you would have to pay....

They will tell you where & how to dispute something once you find something questionable....good luck!

Go to annualcreditreport.com. This will let you access all three of the major agencies, and you can download one truly free credit report from each agency each year. This is federally mandated that you be allowed to do, and this is the site where you can do it free.

Go to AnnualCreditReport.com. AnnualCreditReport.com in the only government approved website to receive your free credit reports. No credit card required.
If you don't want to get your reports online, ACR, has a telephone number to request them or a printable form to mail in.
Do not use FreeCreditReport.com. The require a credit card and registration for credit monitoring services. While you do get a free 30-day trial, you must cancel before the 30-days or they'll charge you a monthly fee. (IMHO-Not worth it.)

If you need to dispute an item(s), you can either write to each bureau or you can go to their website and file it online.

Well, after you get your credit history or your score, and you know that there's something not true in there and making your score lower, you let the lender know that something is wrong. They ask you clear that up by proving it's not true. You have to go back to the time it was happening, contact the institution that you did business with that file bad reports about you, (collection or late paymnts) and ask them to erase it. You have to have papers that proving your points (receipts of some kind). The lender would ask a letter or any proof that legitimate and if the other accounts are good, it should not be a biggie.

I use annualcreditreport.com also. If you see something you can dispute it online as well as send them a written explanation. There are insructions on the website. You can get a copy of your report yearly for free. Don't get duped into those companies that tell you you have to pay a fee to see your report.

go to freecreditreport.com---- they do all 3 for free and if you want it detailed it is 20 dollars... :)

Annually you can get a free copy of your credit report. I use www.freecreditreport.com . It links you to the 3 credit agencies. If you dispute something there is info at the various agencies site. You just follow the directions!

If you are leery about using a random site, go to your bank's website. They probably have a link to a credit reporting agency.
Good luck!
